Ubuntu missing volume control from panel

In Terminal type the command
sudo apt-get install msttcorefonts
If you  don’t want to restart after, you have to type the command:
sudo fc-cache -fv
And that’s it. Enjoy !
PS: If you want to install additional fonts, you just have to copy them to the ~/.fonts/ folder
